 Graham, Mark, and Matt are close high school friends from Roanoke, Virginia who's love for music eventually landed them together in a band. With similar musical tastes and personalities, the chemistry was naturally evident. Having such diverse taste in music, Slideways has a noticeably eclectic sound with influences including rock, pop, blues, reggae, funk, punk, and even a bit of country. Above all, they play what they feel and enjoy doing it. While Slideways does play occasional cover songs, their music is primarily original. Each member of the band contributes their own unique style and flavor to every song, not just musically, but lyrically as well. Currently the band is beefing up its repertoire while playing a few warm-up shows at Schooner's Bar & Grill in Roanoke. The songs on this site were all recorded during various practice sessions on a sub-par microphone, so the sound quality is not the best.
